European Parliament

Social-first video for the Finnish S&D delegation in the European Parliament.

Still from the European Parliament social media video series

Since February 2026 I've run social media video for the Finnish S&D delegation in the European Parliament. The brief is simple to state and hard to do well: take what MEPs actually do in Brussels — the committee work, the policy, the week's decisions — and turn it into short-form video that people watch and understand.

I own it end to end. I find the story and the location, shoot it, and cut the final edit, with subtitles, text animation, and custom illustrations and animated graphics built in. The work is ongoing.

Strategy & Scripting

Each video is built around the week's most relevant topics for that MEP, written into ready-to-shoot scripts for them and their assistants.

02

Production

Location scouting and shooting on the ground, in and around the Parliament.

A scripting engine that runs every Monday

Every Monday, a system I built scans the week — news, social, and what's moving across the EU, committee by committee, for the MEPs who sit on them. It scores the strongest topics per MEP against their committees and their channels, then proposes videos. From those it drafts script suggestions that go to the MEPs and their assistants, used directly or as the starting point for new messaging. Every video starts from what's actually relevant that week, not guesswork.

  1. 01

    Scan

news, social, and EU committee activity for the week

  2. 02

    Score

the best topics per MEP, by committee and channel

  3. 03

    Suggest

    video ideas, then draft scripts

  4. 04

    Hand off

to MEPs and assistants; used as-is or as a base

From there it's mine on the ground: I find the locations, shoot, and edit the final video.

Not a freelancer with a camera. A system that runs your week.

Every shoot is fed by a Notion workspace you can open any time. Three modules. One weekly rhythm. Full transparency.
