How much does an EU project video cost?

A test video is €500 + VAT, fixed. A single-day production starts at €2,500. A brand film is €4,000 to €15,000. The Short-Form Program starts at €1,500 a month for 4 videos, excl. VAT.

How fast is delivery?

Short vertical video is publish-ready within 24 hours of the shoot, or within 48 hours if you have notes. A longer film gets its own schedule in the quote.

Which formats and languages do you deliver?

Every video is exported in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 with subtitles. I work in English and Finnish. Subtitles in other languages are available on request.

Who owns the finished video?

You do. You own the delivered files with full usage rights. GDPR-compliant consent forms are part of the job.

What the EU rules ask of a project video.

Published rules with their sources. Your own grant agreement and call decide what applies.

Promote the project: Published rule

Under the EU’s model grant agreement (Art. 17.1; Annotated Grant Agreement V2.0, April 2025), beneficiaries must promote the project and its results to multiple audiences, including the media and the public, in line with their Annex 1, unless otherwise agreed with the granting authority.

Show the emblem and the funding statement: Published rule

Under the EU’s model grant agreement (Art. 17.2; AGA V2.0, April 2025), communication activities, including material in electronic form and on social media, must acknowledge EU support and display the EU emblem and funding statement. No other logo may be used to highlight EU support, and the emblem must be at least as prominent as other logos.

CINEA, the EU agency that manages LIFE and other programmes, lists the intro or closing frame as the place for the EU emblem in video and animation (guidance checked October 2026).

Horizon Europe: Application form

In the Horizon Europe application form (V5.1, January 2026), videos are a named deliverable type: code ‘DEC’ covers websites, press and media actions and videos.

Erasmus+: Published rule

Under the Erasmus+ Programme Guide 2026 (Version 1, 12 November 2025), beneficiaries must clearly acknowledge EU support in all communications and publications in any medium, as set out in the call and grant agreement, or the grant may be reduced. The EU emblem must be on all communication materials.

Interreg: Published rule

Under the Interreg Regulation (EU) 2021/1059 (Art. 36), each project partner describes the project and the EU support on its website or social media, where it has them, and puts a visible statement of Interreg support on communication material. The term ‘Interreg’ appears next to the EU emblem. If a partner does not comply and takes no remedial action, the managing authority can cancel up to 2% of the support.

The cost category: Published rule

In the EU’s model grant agreement (AGA V2.0, April 2025), the cost category ‘Other goods, works and services’ (C.3) names promotion and dissemination, and the annotation gives communication and dissemination costs as an example. Video is not named explicitly; how a project budgets it depends on its own grant agreement.

Purchase or subcontract: Published guidance

Under the EU’s Annotated Grant Agreement (V2.0, April 2025), whether an outside contract counts as a purchase or as subcontracting depends on whether it covers an action task described in the project’s Annex 1. Which applies to a given video is for the beneficiary and its project officer to determine.
